# Refund policy

Last updated October 18, 2026

Short version: if a report fails, you get it back without asking, and you can ask for unused credit back for 90 days after you buy it. Long version below.

## Reports that fail

Sometimes a report fails. A data provider goes down, a site blocks us, or something breaks on our end. When that happens, whatever paid for it goes back automatically:

- If it was paid with credit, a saved card or checkout, the price goes into your credit balance.
- If it was one of your plan's included reports, you get that report back.
- If your account pays by invoice, the charge comes off what you owe.
- If you used a coupon on it, the coupon use comes back too.

You don't have to email anyone. If you'd rather have a failed report's price back on your card than as credit, ask, and the section on unused credit applies.

## Reports that never get paid for

A report waiting on checkout doesn't start until it's paid for. If it isn't paid for within 24 hours, it's canceled and nothing is charged.

## Reports that finish

A finished report has already cost us money in data and model time, so finished reports aren't refundable just because you didn't like what they said. If one is clearly broken (it researched the wrong site, it came back empty, or it's obviously wrong about something it had the data for), email us within 14 days and we'll look at it. If we agree, you get the price back as credit.

## Unused credit

Credit doesn't expire, so there's no rush to spend it. If you want unused credit back on your original payment method, email us within 90 days of the purchase and we'll refund whatever's left of it. After that, it stays on your account to use on reports.

## Subscriptions

You can cancel whenever you want from billing settings. The subscription keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for and then stops renewing. We don't give partial refunds for the rest of a period, monthly or yearly. Included reports you haven't used end when the subscription ends.

If your plan started with a free trial and you cancel before the trial ends, you're never charged.

## How refunds get to you

Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with, through the processor that took the payment. Processors usually take 5 to 10 business days to show them on your statement. Taxes collected on the payment are refunded along with it. Purchases made through Creem are refunded by Creem, which can only refund a payment in full, so a partial refund on a Creem purchase comes back as credit instead.

## Before you file a chargeback

Email [hello@example.com](mailto:hello@example.com) first. It's faster for you, it's cheaper for both of us, and we'd much rather fix the problem than argue about it with your bank.
